    Slash

Monday, November 9, 2009, 04:39 AM EST [General]

Hey all. Been awhile since I was last on here. But I'mmmmmmm back. Anyone got a Traxxas Slash with radio gear they wanna trade for a Tamiya Brat (original) with polycarb body, and radio gear. All it needs is the proper steering rods, and it's all gud to go.

    Let me know.

    Cheers all,

    Del Boy

    "Got Brats"

Sunday, June 21, 2009, 02:25 AM EST [General]

Hi all. Well since the "Ken Block wann-be" this is all I've been up to. Love Tamiya's Subaru Brat, so I bought one from our good friends Jun & Sunneva (and bubz) Thanks guys. While waiting for the sale of my Mountain bike, (funds from that payed for Brat) I created a 4WD Brat using an old TA01/02 chassis. Shortened it by 5mm just so the wheelbase looked to scale. Had the 4WD one done in a couple of days (shortened, and painted), then my birthday pressie to myself arrived. Couldn't wait to get started on it, got the paint before the car itself arrived, keen to get started. Running a Sport Tuned motor, and (now in the rubbish) Futaba ESC. Spent all-day Saturday building and painting and this is the end result...............

with driver, wearing a Kawasaki racing top like mine.......

    in some leaves...............

    with 4WD buddy..............

Note in description I said "ESC now in bin " I took it for a drive after I'd finished it, and jumped it into what I thought was a shallow puddle. Turned out it was a little deeper than I thought, ESC's aren't "HUGE" fans of water. So now it's just sitting idle until the ESC I just won of Trade Me arrives. But it's all good. Got a Mud Blaster to work on in the mean-time. And there'll be more Brat based R/Cs to follow. Man I love Subaru Brats. Might need to seek some type of help for that.

Anyway enjoy, and "BIG UPS" to Jun & Sunneva for suppling us with all that they do.
